This organization shall be known as The Honest Party.

Article Two Membership

Section One: Eligibility

Membership is open to all individuals who support the core values and principles of The Honest Party.

Section Two: Rights and Responsibilities

Members are entitled to take part in the decision-making process, vote in party elections, and access party resources and information. They are also expected to uphold the party's values and principles and actively work towards achieving its goals.

Section Three: Termination of Membership

Membership may be ended for violating party values or principles, engaging in unethical or illegal behaviour, or engaging in actions detrimental to the party's goals and aims.

Section One: Leadership

The Honest Party's leadership shall consist of a National Executive Committee (NEC) composed of elected members, responsible for making decisions and setting policies for the party.

 

Section Two: Elections

NEC elections shall be held biennially, with all members in good standing entitled to vote.

 

Section Three: Removal of NEC Members

NEC members will be removed for violating party values or principles, engaging in unethical or illegal behaviour, or engaging in actions detrimental to the party's goals and aims. The NEC shall decide the removal process.

Article Four Policies and Platforms

Section One: Development

The Honest Party's policies and platforms shall be developed through a democratic and transparent process involving all members.

Section Two: Priorities

The Honest Party's policies and platforms shall focus on issues affecting the working class in the United Kingdom, including economic, social, education, healthcare, environmental, foreign policy and defence, immigration, and electoral reform.

Section Three: Implementation

The Honest Party shall collaborate with other political parties, advocacy groups, and community organizations to work towards the implementation of its policies and platforms.

Section Four: Anti-Plutocracy

The Honest Party recognizes the detrimental effects of plutocracy on society and is committed to fighting against such injustices in the UK government. The party acknowledges that wealth should not decide one's access to opportunities or necessities such as healthcare, education, and housing.

Article Five Amendments to the Constitution

Section One: Amendments to the Constitution

A two-thirds vote of the NEC must amend this Constitution.

 

Section Two: Amendments to Policies and Platforms

A majority vote of the members is necessary to amend the policies and platforms of The Honest Party.

Article Six Dissolution

Dissolution

 Upon dissolution of The Honest Party, its assets shall be distributed to charitable organizations that promote social and economic justice, sustainability, and the empowerment of the working class in the United Kingdom.

Article Seven Finance

Finance

Section One: Funding

The Honest Party shall rely on donations, membership fees, and fundraising events to finance its operations.

Section Two: Transparency

The Honest Party shall keep transparency in its financial transactions and show its sources of funding.

Section Three: Accountability

The Honest Party shall be accountable to its members and the public for its economic management and shall set up systems of checks and balances to prevent misuse of funds.

All members and leaders of The Honest Party shall follow the code of ethics as in the Articles and shall be subject to disciplinary action if found to have violated any of them.

Section One: Outreach

The Honest Party shall engage in outreach activities to expand its membership base and shall work to build alliances with other organizations that share its values and goals.

Section Two: Education

The Honest Party shall develop and implement educational programs and resources to inform members and the public about its policies, platforms, and goals, and to cultivate a deeper understanding of the issues it addresses.

The Honest Party shall set up a dispute resolution policy to address and resolve any conflicts or disagreements that may arise among members or between members and the leadership.

The Honest Party shall give equal opportunities to all members, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or socio-economic status.

The Honest Party shall actively promote inclusivity within its membership, leadership, and activities, ensuring that diverse perspectives and experiences are represented and valued.

Section One: Internal Communications

The Honest Party shall set up and keep effective communication channels among its members and leadership, fostering a culture of openness, collaboration, and respect.

Section Two: External Communications

The Honest Party shall develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to engage with the public, media, and other stakeholders, ensuring exact representation of its policies, platforms, and activities.

Article Thirteen Affiliations

Section One: Partnerships

The Honest Party may form partnerships with other political parties, advocacy groups, and community organizations that align with its values and aims, to advance its goals more effectively.

Section Two: International Affiliations

The Honest Party may also set up affiliations with international organizations and political parties that share similar values and goals, fostering global cooperation and solidarity.

Article Fourteen Meetings

Section One: Regular Meetings

The Honest Party shall hold regular meetings for its members and leadership to discuss and evaluate its policies, platforms, and progress, as well as to plan for future activities and initiatives.

Section Two: Special Meetings

Special meetings can either be called by the NEC or by a petition of at least one-third of the members to address urgent matters or specific issues that require immediate attention.

Section Three: Notice and Quorum

The Honest Party shall provide adequate notice for all meetings and set up a quorum requirement to ensure a fair and representative decision-making process.

Article Fifteen Ratification

Ratification

This Constitution shall be ratified by a two-thirds vote of the members of The Honest Party and shall take effect upon ratification. Any later amendments shall follow the procedures outlined in Article V.

The Honest Party shall conduct periodic reviews of its Constitution, policies, and platforms to ensure their continued relevance and effectiveness in addressing the needs of the working class in the United Kingdom.

 Section Two: Evaluation of Performance

The Honest Party shall also assess the performance of its leadership and the organization in achieving its goals, showing areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes.

Section Three: Member Feedback

The Honest Party shall actively seek feedback from its members about its policies, platforms, and activities, ensuring that the organization still is responsive to the needs and priorities of its membership base.

Section One: Documentation

The Honest Party shall keep exact and up-to-date records of its meetings, financial transactions, membership, and other organizational activities to ensure transparency and accountability.

Section Two: Access to Records

Members shall have the right to access the organization's records, subject to any reasonable restrictions or confidentiality requirements decided by the NEC.

Section Three: Preservation of Records

The Honest Party shall set up procedures for the preservation of its records, both in physical and digital formats, to ensure their long-term availability and integrity.

Members and leaders of The Honest Party shall adhere to the organization's code of ethics and social media policy when engaging in online discussions, debates, and other interactions on behalf of the party.

The Honest Party shall regularly evaluate the effectiveness of its training and development programs, adjusting as necessary to ensure their continued relevance and impact.

The Honest Party shall regularly assess its capacity-building efforts, showing areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed to ensure ongoing growth and development.

This Constitution, as ratified and amended by the members of The Honest Party, shall serve as the foundation for the organization's governance, policies, and activities. By adhering to these guiding principles and provisions, The Honest Party commits to upholding its core values and working tirelessly to stand for and serve the working class in the United Kingdom.
